Alabama Scholars Admissions Program

For the first-year law class beginning in Fall 2016, the Law School offers a streamlined application program for select students in good standing at The University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa), The University of Alabama at Birmingham, The University of Alabama in Huntsville, Auburn University, Birmingham-Southern College, Huntingdon College, University of Montevallo, Oakwood University, and Samford University. The specific criteria for this program are subject to change from one academic year to the next. The streamlined application process normally will result in an admission decision within approximately 24 hours of the Law School’s receipt of the completed application. A personal statement and letters of recommendation are not required.

Eligibility criteria for the Alabama Scholars Admissions Program are as follows:

  • Senior in good standing at
    • The University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa)
    • The University of Alabama at Birmingham
    • The University of Alabama in Huntsville
    • Auburn University
    • Birmingham-Southern College
    • Huntingdon College
    • University of Montevallo
    • Oakwood University
    • Samford University
  • LSAC Credential Assembly Service (CAS) Report
  • Cumulative undergraduate grade point average of at least 3.80 (according to CAS Report)
  • Completed Alabama Scholars Admissions Program application
  • LSAT score
