SCHOLARSHIPS AND FINANCIAL AID
Law School applicants are considered automatically for
first-year scholarships. Many students also receive
loans through the University's Student Financial Aid
Office. Students interested in seeking financial aid must
complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid
(FAFSA) as soon after January 1 as possible. The
FAFSA may be completed online at fafsa.ed.gov.

SUPREME COURT JUSTICES
VISIT ALABAMA
The Law School has hosted eight lectures
by U.S. Supreme Court Justices: Justice
Samuel Alito(pictured above in 2007),
Justice Stephen Breyer(2006), Justice
Clarence Thomas (2005), Justice Ruth Bader
Ginsburg (2004), Chief Justice William
Rehnquist (2003), Justice Sandra Day O’Connor
(1999), Justice Antonin Scalia (1999), and
Justice Anthony Kennedy (1996). Aharon Barak,
former President of the Supreme Court of
Israel, visited in Fall 2007. Chief Justice
of the Canadian Supreme Court, Beverley
McLachlin, lectured in 2009. Chief
Justice John Roberts and Justice Clarence Thomas,
marking his second visit to Alabama Law, are
scheduled to lecture during the 2009-10 year.

AFTER GRADUATION
- Our national bar passage rate for the Class of 2008 was 95%. The Alabama Bar passage rate for this same class was 97%.
