Capital Defense Clinic | For Law Students | For the Public | Law School Clinics

Just three years old, this law clinic assists members of the private bar representing individuals who have been sentenced to death and are seeking relief in state and federal courts or are facing trial in a capital case. In the course of their work, clinic students assist with case strategy, conduct factual investigations, organize materials for trial or post-conviction petitions, research and write motions and briefs, and help with preparation for the penalty phase of capital trials (mitigation). Talitha Bailey directs the clinic. For Law Students
