Clinic - Criminal Defense - LAW 665

Students in the Criminal Defense Clinic represent low-income community members and University of Alabama students charged with misdemeanor crimes in Tuscaloosa County’s municipal, district, and circuit courts. Clinic interns handle all aspects of client representation in a zealous and client-centered manner. The work includes all manner of criminal defense practice including client interviewing and counseling, fact investigation, motion practice, pleas, and bench and jury trials. Registration is limited to third-year law students with a priority given to those who have taken or are taking Criminal Procedure: Pre-Trial and Evidence.
