This course deals with the difficult task of choosing the substantive and procedural law that should govern and dispute or transaction when the law of more then one jurisdiction might apply. The standards governing this choice of law derive from the federal constitution, federal and state statutes and common law. The topic of personal jurisdiction also is considered.
