Coordinator of Employer and Alumni Relations
Kimberly Bond was appointed Coordinator of Employer and Alumni Relations in June 2014. In this position, she helps Admissions recruit prospective Georgia students to apply to Alabama Law and recruit admitted students from Georgia to attend Alabama Law. She assists Advancement in creating and maintaining the Law School’s relationships with alumni in the Atlanta area. Ms. Bond works with the Career Services Office to increase the Law School’s relationships with Atlanta area employers and increase the employment opportunities for its students and alumni.
Ms. Bond practiced in the field of intellectual property law from 2007 through 2014 in the Atlanta area. As an intellectual property attorney, she drafted and prosecuted several patents in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical fields. Ms. Bond also consulted on intellectual property litigation matters, prosecuted trademark applications, and provided guidance regarding creative review, trademark, and copyright clearance issues. She is a member of the Alabama and Georgia state bars and is also licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Ms. Bond is also a member of the Georgia Bar Association Intellectual Property Section, the Atlanta Bar Association Intellectual Property Section, and the Georgia Bio Emerging Leaders Network. Ms. Bond volunteers at Buckhead Church and as a member of the Artemis Guild for the Fernbank Museum of Natural History.
Ms. Bond earned her J.D. at The University of Alabama School of Law in 2007, where she served as captain of the national championship-winning Saul Lefkowitz Intellectual Property Moot Court team and graduated as a member of the Order of the Coif and the Order of the Barristers. Ms. Bond earned her B.S. in Molecular Biology, magna cum laude, and graduated as a University Honors Scholar and member of Phi Beta Kappa from Auburn University in 2004.
