Public Interest Externships

Public Interest Externships are available each Spring and allow students to gain hands-on experience with clients, develop their legal skills and strengthen their resumes. Students will work with attorneys in non-profit public interest organizations in Tuscaloosa, Birmingham or Montgomery for 8-10 hours a week and earn 2 hours of academic credit. Students must enroll in the Academic-Year Externship course in the Spring (LAW 795).
