The Law School will host a presentation by Order of the Coif Distinguished Visitor Professor James Forman, Jr. Professor Forman, of Yale Law School, won the 2018 Pulitzer Prize in nonfiction for his book, Locking Up Our Own: Crime and Punishment in Black America. Locking Up Our Own examines the complex and often conflicted history of Black leaders and communities advocating for increased levels of incarceration. Professor Forman’s visit is made possible, in part, through the generosity of the Order of The Coif society. Box lunches will be provided.
Copies of Professor Forman’s book will be available for purchase, and signing, immediately following the presentation.
