Professor Leonard received J.D., M.L.S., and B.A. degrees from the University of North Carolina. While in law school, he was a member of North Carolina Law Review. Professor Leonard served as director of the Law Library at Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law from 1986 through 1997 and directed the Legal Writing and Research Program from 1986 to 1992. He was appointed director of the Law Library in Alabama in 1998. He is presently the Interim Vice Dean, the Associate Dean for Legal Information Services, and the James M. Kidd, Sr. Professor of Law. Professor Leonard teaches Employment Discrimination and Disability Law, and has published in the areas of federal jurisdiction, employment law, and language policy.
