BROOKE BACAK. Brooke Bacak is the Legislative Director for U.S. Senator Ted Cruz from Texas. Brooke formerly served as U.S. Senator Tom Coburn's Senate Judiciary Committee chief counsel as well as on the staffs of Senators Kyl and Sessions. Before returning to Washington to join Senator Cruz, she was an assistant dean at the University of Alabama School of Law. Brook received her undergraduate degree from Auburn University and her law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law.

Marcel Debruge is a partner at Burr & Forman and Chair of the firm's Labor & Employment Practice Group. He focuses his practice on representing management in all aspects of Labor & Employment law, including litigation before the federal and state courts and administrative agencies. Marcel's practice ranges from matters related to wrongful discharge, sexual harassment, invasion of privacy, employment discrimination, and labor relations to violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Family and Medical Leave Act and litigation of employment contracts and restrictive covenants such as non-compete agreements. Carey McRae, a partner in the Birmingham office of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings, represents a broad spectrum of healthcare providers, including hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, home health agencies, psychiatric hospitals, and inpatient rehabilitation hospitals in connection with their state and federal regulatory issues as well as certain litigation matters involving regulatory, peer review, and reimbursement issues. In addition to being recognized as Birmingham's 2015 Lawyer of the Year in Health Care Law, he has been listed in the Best Lawyers in America and Alabama Super Lawyers and has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at both Cumberland School of Law and the University of Alabama School of Law.
