BROOKE BACAK. Brooke Bacak is the Legislative Director for U.S. Senator Ted Cruz from Texas. Brooke formerly served as U.S. Senator Tom Coburn's Senate Judiciary Committee chief counsel as well as on the staffs of Senators Kyl and Sessions. Before returning to Washington to join Senator Cruz, she was an assistant dean at the University of Alabama School of Law. Brook received her undergraduate degree from Auburn University and her law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law.

Marcel L. Debruge

Marcel Debruge is a partner at Burr & Forman and Chair of the firm's Labor & Employment Practice Group. He focuses his practice on representing management in all aspects of Labor & Employment law, including litigation before the federal and state courts and administrative agencies. Marcel's practice ranges from matters related to wrongful discharge, sexual harassment, invasion of privacy, employment discrimination, and labor relations to violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Family and Medical Leave Act and litigation of employment contracts and restrictive covenants such as non-compete agreements. Marcel has been a member of Best Lawyers in America in Employment Law Management and Labor Law Management every year since 2006, and is a frequent lecturer on topics related to his practice. Marcel is a 1987 graduate of Louisiana State University and a 1991 graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law, where he served on the Managing Board of the Alabama Law Review and was a member of the Order of the Coif.

Anthony "AJ" Joseph

Anthony Joseph is a shareholder of Maynard Cooper & Gale, P.C., Birmingham, Alabama. Mr. Joseph's practice focuses on white collar criminal defense and general civil litigation. Mr. Joseph has served as an Assistant United States Attorney (N.D. AL); a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation; and an Assistant District Attorney (Jefferson County, Alabama). Mr. Joseph has served as chair, Criminal Justice Section of the American Bar Association; President of the Birmingham Bar Association; President of the Birmingham Legal Aid Society; President of the Alabama State Bar; Vice Chancellor of the Alabama Episcopal Diocese; President of the Alabama Center for Law and Civic Education; and President of Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Carey McRae

Carey McRae, a partner in the Birmingham office of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings, represents a broad spectrum of healthcare providers, including hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, home health agencies, psychiatric hospitals, and inpatient rehabilitation hospitals in connection with their state and federal regulatory issues as well as certain litigation matters involving regulatory, peer review, and reimbursement issues. In addition to being recognized as Birmingham's 2015 Lawyer of the Year in Health Care Law, he has been listed in the Best Lawyers in America and Alabama Super Lawyers and has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at both Cumberland School of Law and the University of Alabama School of Law. Carey received his B.A. from Vanderbilt University in 1988 where he was on the Dean's List and was recognized among the Outstanding College Students of America; his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1992 where he served as Lead Articles Editor of the Alabama Law Review; and his M.S. from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1997.

Frances Quick is a shareholder of Maynard, Cooper & Gale, P.C., in Birmingham, Alabama. She practices in the areas of employee benefits and executive compensation. Prior to joining Maynard Cooper, Ms. Quick practiced with another Birmingham firm, and was law clerk to the Honorable Sam C. Pointer, Jr. She has served as past Chair of the Women Lawyers Section of the Birmingham Bar Association, and on the Board of Trustees for the University of Alabama School of Law Foundation.
