KIRA FONTENEAU, THE PUBLIC DEFENDER. Kira Fonteneau is the Jefferson County Public Defender, Birmingham, Alabama. Prior to joining the Public Defender's Office, Ms. Fonteneau maintained an active practice focusing in criminal defense, employment law and other civil litigation. She has served on the Birmingham Bar Association Executive Committee and is a member of the American Bar Association. Kira also serves as Board member and Advocacy Chair for the American Diabetes Association, and has been a participant in the Birmingham Bar Future Leaders Forum and the Alabama State Bar Leadership Forum. She holds an undergraduate degree from The University of Virginia and a J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law.

JIM HUGHEY. The Honorable Jim Hughey is a Circuit Court Judge for the Tenth Judicial Circuit in Birmingham, Alabama. Judge Hughey began his service as a Civil Division Circuit Judge on January 15, 2013. Prior to taking office, he was a partner with the law firm of Lightfoot, Franklin & White, LLC. During his years of practice, Judge Hughey was listed multiple times in Best Lawyers in America and Alabama Super Lawyers and held an AV-Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell. He also served on the editorial board of the Alabama Lawyer and as co-chair of the Alabama State Bar's Diversity in the Profession Committee. In July 2014, Judge Hughey was awarded the Judge Drayton James Award by the young lawyers section of the Birmingham Bar Association. The award is presented annually to a judge who has exemplified Judge James' legacy of friendship, professionalism and legal guidance to young lawyers. Judge Hughey received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and his law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law.

F. INGE JOHNSTONE. Inge Johnstone is in private practice with the firm Johnstone Carroll, LLC. His practice focuses on litigation in a wide variety of matters, including insurance disputes, business disputes, fraud, personal injury, maritime injuries, and property litigation. Inge is a member of the Birmingham Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar, and the American Association of Justice. He has served as Secretary/Treasurer for the Young Lawyer's Section of the Birmingham Bar, Executive Committee. Mr. Johnstone received his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama and his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law.

Justin L. Jones is a Deputy District Attorney for the Tuscaloosa County District Attorney's Office. He received his undergraduate degree from Tuskegee University and his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law. Justin was involved in trial advocacy activities while in law school, and continues today as an Adjunct Faculty Advisor at UA Law for the BLSA's Trial Advocacy and Moot Court Teams.

Ken Minturn is the founder of Kenji, a trusted community marketplace for users to find, compare, and hire attorneys to help tackle their legal projects - online or from a mobile phone or tablet. An entrepreneur at heart, he has a JD from the University of Alabama School of Law and a MBA from the Manderson Graduate School of Business. Comparing the way law is currently practiced to sound business principals led Ken to explore ways in which attorney's services could be provided more efficiently and could better serve the interests of clients and attorneys, ultimately resulting in the seeds of the idea that became Kenji.

PASCAL NKENGLA. Pascal Nkengla is an Assistant Public Defender for Tuscaloosa County. He received his undergraduate degree from DePaul University and his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law. While in law school, Pascal received the Jerome A. Hoffman Student Leadership Award and the George Peach Taylor Award. He was Vice President of the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society and a member of the National Trial Competition team.

LAURA E. PROCTOR. Laura Proctor is Associate General Counsel over litigation with Louisiana-Pacific Corporation in Nashville, Tennessee. Laura focuses her practice on products liability litigation, Class action litigation, employment litigation, Construction litigation, Antitrust, Toxic Torts, Premise Liability and general tort litigation. Ms. Proctor currently serves as President-Elect of DRI and will ascend to the presidency in 2016 as DRI's first corporate counsel president and third women president. She has served on DRI's Board of Director as a National Director since 2007. She is active in several DRI committees including DRI's Corporate Counsel Committee for which she is a founding member. She also served as Committee Chair for DRI's Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee and DRI's Young Lawyers Committee. Ms. Proctor is also a member of IADC where she serves on the Corporate Counsel College Advisory Committee. Laura received her undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama and her J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law.

CHRIS ROBERTS. Chris Roberts is the Director of the Alabama Office of Indigent Defense Services. He was appointed in April 2015 and is responsible for administration and financial supervision of all indigent defense services for the State of Alabama. Prior to his appointment, he spent two years in private practice and twenty years in the Public Defender's Office. Chris is a member of the Tuscaloosa County Bar Association, the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the National Association for Public Defense. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law.
