Marcel Debruge is a partner at Burr & Forman and Chair of the firm's Labor & Employment Practice Group. He focuses his practice on representing management in all aspects of Labor & Employment law, including litigation before the federal and state courts and administrative agencies. Marcel's practice ranges from matters related to wrongful discharge, sexual harassment, invasion of privacy, employment discrimination, and labor relations to violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Family and Medical Leave Act and litigation of employment contracts and restrictive covenants such as non-compete agreements. Marcel has been a member of Best Lawyers in America in Employment Law Management and Labor Law Management every year since 2006, and is a frequent lecturer on topics related to his practice. Marcel is a 1987 graduate of Louisiana State University and a 1991 graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law, where he served on the Managing Board of the Alabama Law Review and was a member of the Order of the Coif.
