Biomedical Ethics - LAW 7182-3 Hours
In this course (sometimes offered as a seminar), students examine a series of controversies related to modern medical practices, including withdrawal of life support, physician-assisted suicide, genetic engineering, abortion, reproductive issues, medical experimentation on human beings, health care rationing, and the effects of public health measures on privacy interests. Students consider the ethics and policy implications of such practices as well as the legal rules governing them.
