Brandi A. Russell, a native of Birmingham, earned her Bachelor of Arts from The University of Alabama and her Juris Doctor degree from Cumberland School of Law of Samford University.
While in law school, she was consistently named a member of Dean’s List and received the Spirit of Service Award. She served as Chair of the Cordell Hull Speakers Forum, a Senior Justice of Cumberland Honor Court, and a board member for the local and regional levels of the National Black Law Student Association. In addition, Ms. Russell studied counterterrorism and global dispute resolution at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom.
Prior to joining the Law School, Ms. Russell was the Director of Admissions and Financial Aid, as well as the Assistant Director of Admissions and Recruitment, at Mercer Law School in Georgia. Ms. Russell’s experience extends beyond admissions to areas of diversity and inclusion, financial aid, and marketing.
